Top is the original ink drawing/sketch. I tried to loosen up a bit, as I feel I often go overboard on detail, or at least I have a tendency to put my main focus on it. So I used this as an exercise in simplicity. I then decided I would play around in Photoshop to see if I could come up with something that would make it feel like a finished "image." The wallpaper image can be found on CG Textures, which is an amazing resource. I think I might do more of these when time allows: I currently have a project in the works that doesn't leave time for much else.
